Refer a friend
You know exactly who we mean.
The friend who mentions their knee every time you talk about the gym. The colleague who’s “starting in January”. The partner who watches you leave at 6.15am and says “I couldn’t do that”. Members who arrive because a friend brought them are the ones who stay. Nikki, Anna and Sherilee all did.
How it works
One name is all we ask
1
You tell us
Their name and a way to reach them, plus yours so we know who to thank.
2
We do it properly
A friendly call, the tour, the assessment, Ignite30 if they want it. No hard sell. They’ll say you sent them.
3
You get thanked
Properly. Ask Dan what the current thank-you is when you’re next in.
Nikki, eight years ago
I was persuaded by a friend to join DMF, which is almost eight years ago now, and I haven’t looked back really. I’d really just come along because my friend had made me come along.
Nikki, now
Bar → 30kg bench
When I first came I couldn’t lift the bar. Now on a good day I can bench-press over 30 kilos. My 10K went from about an hour to 42 minutes.
For the person being sent
Their three worries, answered
“I haven’t trained in years”
Good. Most DMF members hadn’t either. Everything is scaled to your level, sessions are capped at six, and a coach watches every rep.
“I’ve got a dodgy knee / back / shoulder”
Ali came in after shoulder surgery and now has 98% range of motion. Rich trains with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. You tell us at the assessment; the board adapts.
“I’m too old / unfit / busy”
Most people here are in their 40s, 50s and 60s. Ignite30 is 8 coached sessions in 30 days, about two a week, 45 to 60 minutes each. Nobody is asked to live in a gym.
